The team from Intelligent Health is attending the Active Travel Scotland conference on Wednesday, 2nd June.

The annual event is being held online once again this year and will be attended by active travel leaders from across the country.

Speakers include Dr Paul Kelly, Lecturer in Physical Activity for Health, University of Edinburgh and Graeme Dey MSP, Minister for Transport. There are also break-out sessions chaired by representatives from Sustrans Scotland, Transform Scotland, Living Streets and local councils.

Craig McGarrie, Business Development and Partnership Manager at Intelligent Health, will be hosting a ‘virtual booth’ where visitors can find out more about the Beat the Street games and their impact on encouraging active travel.

He said: “We’ve delivered many successful programmes across Scotland, and have just completed a Beat the Street game across the towns of Hamilton and Blantyre. Beat the Street engages mass population to increase their physical and mental wellbeing by active travelling for short journeys”

The game is particularly successful in engaging people of all ages in embracing active travel, but particularly after months of lockdown, has been a really positive initiative for stakeholders and participants alike.”
